George III Priory Partner Desk

Originally made by Thomas Chippendale in 1766 for Sir Rowland Winn. The original masterpiece of English cabinetry is located in Nostell Priory in Yorkshire. Made with brown tooled leather writing surface above a pedestals containing a file drawer and a letter drawer. To each side, carved with fluting, rosettes, trailing festoons and garland decorations and the scrolled brackets with lion head, on hairy paw feet.
